Depot Theatre Announces Cast for INCIDENT AT OUR LADY OF PERPETUAL HELP

Professional comedy opens July 25, following preview performances July 23 & 24

The Depot Theatre continues its 2026 Main Stage season with Incident at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Katie Forgette’s acclaimed comedy about family, faith, and the unforgettable stories that become part of family legend.

Set in 1973, the play follows the O’Shea family as one seemingly ordinary day spirals hilariously out of control. As secrets unravel, tempers flare, and carefully laid plans collapse, Incident at Our Lady of Perpetual Help celebrates the beautiful chaos of family life with warmth, wit, and enormous heart.

Filled with laugh-out-loud moments and genuine emotional warmth, Forgette’s comedy has become a favorite at professional theatres across the country, delighting audiences with characters who are wonderfully imperfect, fiercely loyal, and instantly recognizable.

Directed by Ginna Hoben, the Depot Theatre production brings together accomplished artists from New York, regional theatres, and the Adirondack community.

About the Artists

Cate Damon* makes her Depot Theatre debut as Josephine “Jo” O’Shea. An accomplished stage and screen actor, her credits include Off Broadway’s Johnny Got His Gun at Cherry Lane Theatre and regional productions of Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, What the Constitution Means to Me, Steel Magnolias, Harvey, Mamma Mia!, and multiple productions of Incident at Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Damon is a member of Actors’ Equity Association and SAG-AFTRA and recently made the Adirondack region her home.

Amy Fitts* returns to the Depot Theatre as Terri Charmichael. A longtime Depot favorite, audiences have seen her in First Date, Working, The Addams Family, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change, and The Mikado. Her additional credits include performances at Peterborough Players, Weston Playhouse, Cohoes Music Hall, and theatres throughout New York City. Beyond the stage, Fitts has helped shape the next generation of Depot Theatre artists as Assistant Director of the Depot Theatre Academy and this season also serves as the Theatre’s Artistic General Manager.

Char Jones* returns to the Depot Theatre, where she made her professional debut in Off the Map in 2008 under the direction of her father, John Christopher Jones. Having first performed as a young artist with the Boquet River Theatre Festival, she has since built an accomplished career with credits including La MaMa, the Prague Shakespeare Company, Theatre for the New City, and on television in Saturday Night Live, FBI, and upcoming projects for A24 and Hulu.

Greg Kalafatas makes his Depot Theatre debut portraying Mike O’Shea, Father Lovett, and Betty Heckenbach. His extensive performance career includes the national tours of Hairspray, Something Rotten!, Buddy, and The Drowsy Chaperone, along with productions for Disney Cruise Line, Holland America, and regional theatres across the country.

Maple Judd appears as Becky O’Shea. A rising seventh grader at Keene Central School, Judd has appeared with multiple regional youth theatre programs, including the Boquet River Theatre Festival and the Depot Theatre Academy. Incident at Our Lady of Perpetual Help marks her Main Stage professional debut. She enjoys acting, basketball, and spending time with family and friends.

Director Ginna Hoben is an acclaimed director, playwright, actor, and former television writer and producer. Her directing credits include Every Brilliant Thing, Silent Sky, On the Exhale, and The Wolves, while her solo play The Twelve Dates of Christmas has been produced more than 100 times internationally. She has also written and produced for Food Network and National Geographic and currently writes and performs for several popular children’s podcasts.

Returning for his third season at the Depot Theatre, Peter Corley* serves as Stage Manager. Depot audiences will recognize him from Radiant Vermin and Analog & Vinyl. In addition to stage managing Incident, Corley also serves this season as Company Manager, Dark Nights producer, and production technician.

Incident at Our Lady of Perpetual Help begins with $25 preview performances on Thursday and Friday, July 23 and 24, before officially opening Saturday, July 25. The production continues through August 9 at the Depot Theatre in historic Westport, New York.

Depot Theatre’s Radio Play of A Christmas Carol is a Story of Hope and Forgiveness

“The holidays are a time to revisit old classics, whether it’s your favorite Christmas movies or annual performances of the Nutcracker. This Sunday, the Depot Theatre Academy in Westport is revisiting the Charles Dickens tale, ‘A Christmas Carol.’

It will be the 4th annual presentation of the story in the form of a radio play, written by Philip Grecian and performed at the Whallonsburg Grange. The play is co-directed by Amy Fitts and Gigi Mason and begins at 3 pm.

Mason spoke with Emily Russell about the performance, which will raise money and collect food donations for local pantries.”

Depot Theatre Announces Monstrous Cast of THE ADDAMS FAMILY

The Depot Theatre is pleased to announce the cast of its production of THE ADDAMS FAMILY: A NEW MUSICAL, with performances from August 11-28, 2022.

The extraordinary cast of 15 actors/dancers/singers is comprised of professional Actors’ Equity Association members, regional standouts, and Depot Theatre Academy participants.

“As an Actors’ Equity Association-affiliated theatre, we always engage some non-Equity members along with Equity professionals for our productions,” said Kenney Green, the show’s director/choreographer and Depot Producing Artistic Director. “But this show is a much larger scale than usual, and only possible because we have engaged the triple-threat talents of our community members and Academy standouts.”

The show is based upon The Addams Family characters created by Charles Addams in his single-panel gag cartoons, which depict a ghoulish American family with an affinity for all things macabre.

The plot features the Addams Family’s dark, macabre, beloved daughter Wednesday, now an eighteen-year-old young woman, who has fallen in love with a sweet, smart boy from a “normal” family. To make matters worse, she has invited his parents to the Addams’ home for dinner. The result is a “comical feast set to music!”

MEET THE CAST

Megan Koumis (Morticia) returns to the Depot after performing in THE WORLD GOES ‘ROUND in 2019. Megan made her off-Broadway debut at The Public Theatre in MADE IN AMERICA. She has been seen regionally in EVITA, JEKYLL AND HYDE, JOSEPH…DREAMCOAT, and AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS. Megan can also be seen in the national commercial for Keepsake Frames.

Michael Indeglio (Gomez) has performed on 6 of the 7 continents with tours including TITANIC, MAME, and FOREVER PLAID; select regional productions include THE WORLD GOES ‘ROUND (Depot), TICK TICK…BOOM, THE LAST FIVE YEARS, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, and THE FULL MONTY.

Lauren Gunn (Wednesday) returns to the Depot after this season’s PUTTING IT TOGETHER. Gunn’s favorite credits include ASSASSINS (Squeaky), INTO THE WOODS, (Cinderella), HAY FEVER (Jackie), MEASURE FOR MEASURE (Pompey), and THE TAMING OF THE SHREW (Bianca). She has composed comedy songs for her series, “Eh, OK”, and written pieces for the NYC sketch collective, Boogiemanja.

Gina Lindsey (Grandma Addams) teaches communication in Plattsburgh at both Clinton Community College and Plattsburgh State University. She has been performing in local theatre since 2003. Favorite roles include Enid in LEGALLY BLONDE THE MUSICAL (CCC, 2014), Mae Peterson in BYE, BYE BIRDIE (CMT, 2015), Lucy the Slut in AVENUE Q (CCC, 2016), Eleanor in the original musical, THE ART OF LIVING (CCC, 2016, and The Strand, 2017), Sister Mary Regina in NUNSENSE II: THE SECOND COMING (ART and ETC, 2018), Elizabeth Proctor in THE CRUCIBLE (ART 2019), Mrs. White in CLUE ON STAGE (CCC, 2019), and Beatrice in THE EFFECT OF GAMMA RAYS ON THE MAN-IN-THE-MOON MARIGOLDS (ETC, 2021).

Michael Glavan (Lurch) has worked as an actor, director, playwright, and teaching artist across the country, and appeared in this season’s Depot Theatre production of RED. NYC/Off Broadway credits include ULTIMATE MAN!, AMERICAN HERO, THREE SISTERS, SEX TIPS FOR STRAIGHT WOMEN FROM A GAY MAN, MIRACOLO, and ETHEL. TV appearances include SHAHS OF SUNSET and WATCH WHAT HAPPENS LIVE WITH ANDY COHEN.

Vincent DiGeronimo (Uncle Fester) is a singer/songwriter as well as an actor, and is making his Depot Theatre debut. He has played Seymour in LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS in NYC, Charlie Davenport in ANNIE GET YOUR GUN at the Pines Dinner Theatre, has worked on two shows in the NYC Fringe Festival (I CAN HAS CHEEZBURGER THE MUSICLOL and PROPHET IN PINK), and was in ALWAYS, RACHEL as part of the NYMF.

Felix Haskins (Pugsley) is a twelve-year-old Brooklyn-born Westport resident making his professional debut in THE ADDAMS FAMILY. Previous roles in the Depot Academy include Jack (INTO THE WOODS) and Simba (THE LION KING). In his free time, Felix enjoys making art, playing the cello, swimming, and having fun with his friends.

Dru Loman (Lucas) makes his Depot debut in THE ADDAMS FAMILY. Recent credits include THE SOUND OF MUSIC (Rolf), NEWSIES (Jack Kelly), WEST SIDE STORY (Tony), MARY POPPINS (Robertson Ay), and BIG RIVER (Tom Sawyer). Dru hails from Wilmington, NC and is a High Point University graduate.

Brenda Chase McColgan (Alice) is a special needs aide by day, theatrical performer by night. Brenda is proud to be considered local talent, appearing as The Witch in INTO THE WOODS, Linda Porter in the one woman show LOVE, LINDA, Mary Bailey in IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE, and performing Broadway standards with her husband at the Curbside by the Harborside Concert Series. Treasured roles from her life in Massachusetts include, Hannigan in ANNIE, Agnes in I DO, I DO, The Mistress in EVITA and The Beggar Woman in SWEENEY TODD, as well as her run in I LOVE YOU, YOU’RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE with Showstoppers Inc.

Local audiences may know Bill McColgan (Mal) from ACT’s INTO THE WOODS (The Baker) and HELLO, DOLLY! (Horace), ART’s THE PRODUCERS (Max) and IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE (George), and Plattsburgh’s Harborside Concert Series. Favorite shows/roles include URINETOWN (Lockstock), CHILDREN OF EDEN (Father), ME & MY GIRL (Bill), FORUM (Miles Gloriosus), and LES MISERABLES (Bishop), along with the murderous trio of Jasper in EDWIN DROOD, Jud in OKLAHOMA!, and the title role of SWEENEY TODD. Professional experience includes I DO! I DO! as Michael, SUGAR as Jerry/Daphne, the New England premiere of SECRETS EVERY SMART TRAVELER SHOULD KNOW, and more than 300 performances in Boston and around the country as Smudge in FOREVER PLAID.

The cast is rounded out with a talented ensemble that includes Depot alums Amy Fitts, Roman Matusiewicz, and Adam Michael Tilford, and Rachel Marie Kemp and Depot Academy alum Ella Lobdell in their Depot debuts.

WORKING: A MUSICAL features 6 vocal powerhouses

Depot Theatre’s second 2021 main stage production celebrates everyday heroes

Westport, NY — The Depot Theatre is pleased to announce the cast of its second 2021 main stage production, WORKING: A MUSICAL, with performances from July 22 – August 8.

Nominated for six Tony Awards, WORKING: A MUSICAL features vibrant portrayals of 26 real-life American workers – including a schoolteacher, trucker, housewife, fireman, and millworker – played by 6 actors. The show conveys how people’s relationships to their work reveal key aspects of their humanity. The musical includes songs by Tony Award-winning Lin-Manuel Miranda and favorite numbers by Stephen Schwartz, Craig Carnelia, and James Taylor.

Six vocal powerhouses comprise the cast, including Broadway and Depot Theatre alumni, along with some artists making their Depot debut.

The Depot’s own Producing Artistic Director, Kenney M. Green, will take the stage as Man #1 for this production. Along with being a seasoned director, choreographer, dancer, and musician, Green’s acting credits include: Off-Broadway: FINKS! (Ensemble Studio Theatre) and GROWING UP 70’s starring Barry Williams (Luther). National/European Tours: SMOKEY JOE’S CAFÉ starring Gladys Knight (Victor/Dance Capt.), AIN’T MISBEHAVIN’, and THE MUSIC OF ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER (Ensemble).

Broadway alum Brandi Chavonne Massey will play the role of Woman #2. Her credits include: West End Nala in Disney’s THE LION KING. Broadway and National Tours include roles such as Nettie/Celie in THE COLOR PURPLE; Elphaba in WICKED; The Radio in CAROLINE OR CHANGE; and Lucy in JEKYLL AND HYDE. New York projects include Ghetto Superstar singing background for Billy Porter as well as Sam Smith; Kira in BARE; Pam in BABY; Myrt in CARMEN JONES at the York Theater; Muse in the Nike workshop of Ball with L.L. Cool Jay and Savion Glover; Linda Eder’s Christmas Concert; and Dionne in HAIR in the Encore Series. She also has several T.V and film credits.

Amy Fitts is thrilled to be back at the Depot in the role of Woman #3. She’s worn many a wig and dress on the Depot stage, playing Philia in FORUM, Woman 2 in I LOVE YOU, YOU’RE PERFECT, Yum Yum in MIKADO, and more. In NYC she’s performed in shows at The Mint, Lucille Lortel, Joe’s Pub, and other downtown venues. She traveled Japan singing Disney songs with the Tokyo Philharmonic and performed closer to home at Peterborough Players (Laura, GLASS MENAGERIE), Weston Playhouse (HAIRSPRAY/AS YOU LIKE IT), and Cohoes Music Hall (Gooch, MAME).

Xavier Reyes plays the role of Man #2. Reyes is a storyteller from Puerto Rico and a graduate of upstate New York’s Ithaca College. Some favorite credits include Broadway’s National Tour of KINKY BOOTS in the USA, Japan, and Canada; Roy/Mark/Peter in FUN HOME at American Stage; Angel in HAIR at the Titusville Playhouse; Graffiti Pete in IN THE HEIGHTS at Geva Theatre/Melissa Rain Anderson; and Lynn Nottage’s SWEAT at Pioneer Theatre Company.

Terry Lewis and Thani Brant will be making their Depot Theatre debuts in WORKING. Lewis plays the role of Man #3. Favorite roles include: Frank-n-Furter in THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW at Selma Arts Center, Cinderella’s Prince/The Wolf in INTO THE WOODS, and Black Stache in PETER AND THE STARCATCHER at Stageworks Fresno.

Thani Brant will play the role of Woman #1. A 2021 graduate of the University of Michigan, with a BFA in Musical Theatre, recent credits include Touchstone in U of M’s AS YOU LIKE IT and Anna in SPRING AWAKENING with Exit Left Theatre Co.

The show is directed by Julie Lucido, an associate member of the Stage Directors & Choreography Society and a graduate of the University of California Santa Cruz in Theatre Arts. Lucido is thrilled to be making her Depot directing debut. “Celebrating the ‘every’ person, the worker, as the backbone of what makes the world go around is particularly important in this time,” said Lucido. “As we have been reminded, we should honor the essential workers, and how interconnected we are; the stories we will weave, share, and sing are so very important.”

The Depot Theatre’s production of WORKING: A MUSICAL runs Thursdays-Sundays from July 22 through August 8, 2021, and is sponsored by Chazy Westport Communications/Westelcom. The 2021 Season sponsor is Casella.
