Land Acknowledgement

The Depot Theater wishes to acknowledge that we are operating on the traditional and unceded homeland of the Mohawk or Kanienkehaka people, who oversaw a gathering place for many Iroquoian and Algonquian peoples in this space. We honor the Kanienkehaka ancestors who took great care of this land and their present-day descendants who continue to teach us the importance of land stewardship and community. With great respect and gratitude to the Kanienkehaka, we express our desire to align with their teachings to protect the land the theater is located on and to create community to the best of our abilities.
