Depot Theatre welcomes Seagle Music Colony’s HEY BIG SPENDER music revue

WESTPORT, N.Y. â€” The Depot Theatre is pleased to welcome the 2018 Seagle Music Colony fall season artists for a special, limited engagement of HEY BIG SPENDER from August 30 to September 1.

This fun-filled revue of the music of Broadway great Cy Coleman includes songs like â€œHey, Big Spender,” â€œCome Follow The Band,â€ â€œIf My Friends Could See Me Now,â€ and other favorites. Â

Cy Coleman, the only composer to win back-to-back Tony Awards for CITY OF ANGELSÂ Â and WILL ROGERS FOLLIES, is best known for his jazzy popular tunes for the show SWEET CHARITY, where the songs â€œHey, Big Spenderâ€Â and â€œIf My Friends Could See Me Nowâ€Â originate. Â

Coleman worked with many collaborators, from Dorothy Fields to Comden and Green with great success. Other musicals include: ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY, I LOVE MY WIFE, SEESAW, BARNUM and many more. Each of his tunes evokes heart and soul and toe tapping originality.Â

Located in Schroon Lake, N.Y., Seagle Music Colony is the oldest and one of the most prestigious summer vocal training programs in the United States. With a mission to identify, train and develop gifted singers and to present quality opera and musical theatre performances to the public, the organization is celebrating 103 years of operation in 2018. Â
