Westport, N.Y. – The Depot Theatre is pleased to announce the dates of its summer 2022 Academy summer program.
The 2022 Academy junior program, held at the Mountain View campus of the Boquet Valley School District in Elizabethtown, will take place from July 18-30, with two weeks of rehearsals from 9:30am-3:30pm culminating in three performances of PETER PAN, JR. on Friday, July 29 at 7pm, and Saturday July 30 at 2pm and 7pm.
The senior program will be held at the Whallonsburg Grange Hall from July 31- August 6, and will consist of a week of workshops from 6-9pm leading up to a Cabaret performance on August 6 at 7pm, with participants performing alongside professional artists.
Auditions will be held on June 18 at the Whallonsburg Grange Hall from 10am-noon for the juniors (ages 8-12) and 1-3pm for seniors ages 13 and older and enrolled in school (inclusive of home school and college). Audition attendance is not required, but serves to inform casting for the junior program and material selection for the seniors. Participants who want to be considered for a larger role but are unable to attend the June 18 auditions can submit a video of themselves singing a song of their choice (a cappella is fine) to academy@depottheatre.org.
