Tuesday, July 9: Bright Lights & Back Tracks: A Singer's Journey Home, performed by Dominique Plaisant (with A. Michael Tilford)
Join Depot Theatre fave, Dominique Plaisant, for an evening of song and story. Depot audiences have enjoyed Dominque's beautiful voice throughout the theatre's 35 year history and are honored to have her back onstage performing with us again. Dominique brings her impressive Broadway talent to the Depot stage for this very special one night event.
Tuesday, July 23: How Do You Doodle, Essex?, written & performed by George Davis
A whimsical look at the lives, legends and landmarks of Essex, New York. George Davis blends oral and digital storytelling, a surplus of squiggly lines, and a sexy/eccentric Adirondack village into A Doodler’s Guide to Essex, NY.
ALL PROCEEDS BENEFIT THE DEPOT THEATRE!
Tuesday, August 20: 3 Chords of the Apocalypse: A Transcriber's Tale, written & performed by Joanna Parson
Welcome to a bustling transcription office in New York City in 2001, where typists are busy listening to -- and typing out -- raw interviews for pulpy television shows and other mass media. The ultimate eavesdropper in a storm of sound bites, cliches and unexpected confessions, Joanna Parson presents a unique musical monologue that shows you what happens when a young woman with a sense of humor and a Guild guitar tries to keep her sanity and heart intact in the center of the news cycle.
“Sweet and filled with creative imagery.”—Backstage.
“CABARET PICK: This cabaret newcomer with the very-alive eyes is a most happy find.”— New York Post
