Depot Dangereuse Play Readings

Depot Dangereuse Play Readings

Depot Dangereuse 240x172The Depot Theatre is excited to present its play reading series “Depot Dangereuse.”

Depot Dangereuse is for the discriminating playgoer who wants cutting-edge drama and comedy, with samples of what’s hot on and off-Broadway, read by local and New York City-based talent. The performances are sit-down or semi-staged readings, which are then followed by a moderated audience discussion with the director and actors.

The purpose of “Depot Dangereuse” is to share more “serious” and highly lauded work with you. While the scripts are acted and emotionally full they are presented with minimal movement to give full focus to the text. Last year’s audiences felt this bare bones approach involved them more deeply in the play’s message and meaning as their own imaginations served to heighten the dramatic and comedic action.

Stay with us after the reading for a talkback and discuss the play, theatre, and the creative process with the actors!

Audiences should be advised that the material and subject matter may not be suitable for all audiences. Parental discretion is advised.
